Tri County Implement is celebrating its 30th year of providing quality Case IH equipment, parts and service to the MonDak region with an open house on Tuesday, April 17.
The family owned business was brought to Sidney from Choteau by Walt McNutt in 1988. Walt’s daughter Tami and her husband Larry Christensen joined the business and are now the majority owners. Their son Tyler, who came on board in 2013, has become a partner and their daughter Andrea has been their office assistant for over two years.
The company has grown steadily over the years, always striving to meet the needs of their customers. Four expansions have allowed them to accommodate ever larger equipment and truck repair has been added. Tri County also sells Grasshopper mowers.
Along with a complete line of Case IH equipment, Tri County offers cutting edge RTK solutions with RTK+, a modem based system that broadens the service area for RTK customers. The company also offers ACCU Turn, which offers hands free end of row turning.
Larry and Tami credit their stellar employees for the success of their business. Parts manager Lee Pourroy moved from Choteau with the company; he has been with the company over 40 years. Will McCament has been in parts for eight years along with Stefanie Moen, five years. Wade Roberts has been service manager for 23 years while Jim Propp has been a technician for 23 years. Completing the service department are Tyler Christensen, 5 years; Karl Briscoe, two years and Tim Shields, one year. Salesman Drue Roberts has been with Tri County for 12 years.
Tri County supports the community in various ways, generous with both dollars and time. Pourroy serves on the Richland County Planning board and McCament is on the Sidney Chamber board. Larry serves on the Foundation for Community Care, the Boys and Girls Club building committee, is the Richland County fire chief, and a member of the Elks Lodge. Tyler is a fireman and serves on the Trinity Lutheran Church council. Tami serves on the boards of Richland Economic Development, Sidney Cemetery Association, ROI Foundation, Richland County Fair and Rodeo, Kiwanis, MEDA, MT Retail Association, MT Chamber Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Club. She serves on the board of the MT Jaycees Foundation, the Government Relations chamber committee and the trade promotion committee, as well as being a Sidney City Council member.
