“America will ever be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)
I have known Tanya Rost for years. In fact, her husband Shawn worked for Mitchell’s Oilfield Service in Baker back in the 90’s. I know Tanya is a hard working dedicated Christian wife, mom and a woman or integrity she will stand for what is correct. A real lady of character and principals.
When Tanya said she was going to seek the state House of Representative seat district 35 I asked her if she would have voted for SB 416 the so called “Infrastructure Bill”. Tanya said no, she said “we do not need another tax and spend bill, why spend $40 million for the university system in Bozeman, Missoula, Billings, Great Falls, Butte, another $25 million at Helena Heritage Center so Richland County might get $5 million if they qualify”. According to SB 416 “infrastructure projects” means: drinking water systems; wastewater treatment; sanitary sewer or storm sewer systems; solid waste disposal… local roads or bridges. No mention of schools. Another note about infrastructure funding, while attending a Montana Association of County Commissioners meeting in February of 2017, Dan Villa, Governor Bullock’s Budget Directors, told all the county commissioners in attendance. “There would be no infrastructure bill passed unless the Montana Heritage Center received the $25 million”.
I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
I believe free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
I believe the government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
I believe the best government if that which governs least, is closest to the people.
Tanya Rost believes in all these principals along with a few others; gun control is “hitting what you aim at” we do not need more gun laws, just enforce the laws we have. Tanya is a staunch prolife supporter, believes marriage is between a man and a woman, boys and girls should not share the same locker rooms or restrooms, believes you should keep what you earn.
Tanya Rost will do a great job in Helena representing the values and needs of all Richland County. If you haven’t met Tanya Rost you really should call her, 406-488-8015.
“We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within.” Nikita Khrushchev (1894-1971)
