Fun For The Whole Family in Fairview June 9

Fairview is the place to be for family fun on Saturday, June 9 beginning at 8 a.m., with a full day of activities for all ages.

The north end of Sharbono Park is the venue for Hoopfest, plus a variety of lawn games including Yahtzee, tic-tac-toe and dominoes; or play mini golf or volleyball. At 4 p.m., cool off with a huge water balloon fight, then enjoy music with DJ Alli Cayko from 6 – 10 p.m. Purchase glow items and take part in a fun glow party to finish off the day. The swimming pool will be open until 8 p.m. that evening.

This family friendly community fundraiser is being hosted by the Fairview Community Foundation whose mission statement is "We believe that the Fairview Community is built upon the strength of many individuals and families between Montana and North Dakota. Our purpose is to support individual and community events to develop, enhance, built and ultimately make better this community."

Contributions in the last year were donations to the Fairview Festival Committee for shade shelter in park; donation of umbrellas to Fairview pool and four $500 scholarships to graduating Fairview Seniors. Current plans include building a beach volleyball court in Fairview city park.

Events of last year include the Sugar Valley Hoopfest, Sunday School Rally and First Responders lunch.
