USACE Accepting Bids On Intake Project

Despite the lack of a decision from Judge Morris on the project, the US Army Corps of Engineers has advertised that it will be accepting bids on the replacement weir and fish bypass at Intake from July 12 through August 14.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals lifted the injunction in April. However the Corps was politely waiting for a decision from Morris before advertising the project for bids. They are now running out of time since the biological opinion will expire soon and having to do a new one would delay construction even further. Construction of the fish bypass and replacement weir is critical to the survival of the endangered pallid sturgeon, and maintains reliable irrigation water which is the lifeblood of the community
