WILLISTON, N.D. – The public is invited to these free upcoming events at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center (MYCIC) near Williston. All events are free and open to the public. All times are Central Time.
Aug. 11-12: History Alive featuring Arch Ellwein portraying buffalo hunter Vic Smith, 2 and 4 p.m., both days at the Confluence Center.
Aug. 16: Fort Buford History Book Club, 7 p.m. Join history buffs in a discussion of this month’s selected book. Free refreshments. Please call in advance, 701-572-9034.
Aug. 17-18: Confluence Quilters, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The Confluence Quilters will be starting on Christmas gifts at this monthly meeting. All experience levels invited and instruction provided.
Aug. 19: Cowboy Poets and musicians showcase their talents from noon to closing. Performers include Bill Lowman, Jarle Kvale, Terry and Linda Schwartz, Jonathan Oberman, Brent Boight, DW Grothe, and Matt Bradford.
