Watford City to Host Free Welcome Event Sept. 14

Moving to a new place is easier when you get plugged into your community. That’s why the Watford City Economic Development Corporation, McKenzie County Job Development Authority and Watford City Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting the first community Welcome to Watford Celebration, September 14, 2018 from 5-7 pm at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City.

Whether you’ve been in the community for a week or a hundred years, the celebration is designed to help you learn more about the area and how to get involved.

“As of today close to forty organizations, businesses and houses of worship have registered to have tables at our event, and we’re expecting more as the event gets closer,” said Daniel Stenberg, McKenzie County Economic Development Director. “It will be a great way to get filled in on how to do life well out here and to connect with one another and the people and organizations that make Watford and McKenzie County such a great place to live and work.”

Free appetizers as well as bouncy houses, kids’ art activities and babysitting by Wolf Pup Daycare will be available for your children as you browse the booths. Drawings will be held for Watford City and McKenzie County themed experiences. After the event, guests can walk over to the football field and enjoy the beautiful new facility and a varsity home game.

Come by yourself, bring a friend, bring your family and celebrate what it means to live and work in Watford City!
