Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home of Sidney is entrusted with the arrangements. Remembrances, condolences and pictures may be shared with the family at http://www.fulkersons.com.

Shellie passed away at Sidney Extended Care with her loving family at her side, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Shellie was born on December 13, 1947 in Glendive, MT to Bano and Lina (Gehnert) Brenner. She was a great lover of animals and the outdoors. Shellie and her siblings spent countless hours on horseback exploring the badlands. She attended school in Dawson County.

On June 1, 1968, she married Richard (Dick) Lange of Savage, MT. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. After a year of marriage, Dick was drafted into the Army. During his two years of service, Dick and Shellie embraced a nomadic lifestyle. They lived in Fort Jackson, SC, Fort Benning, GA, and Fort Polk, LA. Their oldest daughter, Deedra, was born during their stay at Fort Polk. Following his honorable discharge, the couple moved back to Glendive, MT where their other four daughters, Brandyn, Karmen, Karen, and Kimberly were born. They moved to Sidney in 1979 where they have lived since.

Shellie was very supportive of her five daughters' activities, swimming, athletics, 4-H and horse shows. She could always be found chauffeuring the girls in the family van or cheering proudly from the stands.

Shellie's other hobbies included caring for animals, especially her beloved quarter horses, gardening, cooking, canning and reading. Dick and Shellie also enjoyed traveling with friends or their girls.

Shellie is survived by her husband Dick, daughters Deedra (Shandon) Erickson of Sidney, Brandyn (Chanon) Romo of Bainville, Karmen (Jason) Schmierer of Sidney, Karen (Sterling) Swigart of Miles City, and Kimberly Lange (fiancé Jason Bright) of Sidney, grandchildren Jade and Shay Erickson, Summer and Colter Romo, Austin Lange, Ashtyn and Karsyn Swigart, and Tayler Lange, mother Lina Brenner, siblings Sandy (Bob) Kiedrowski of Glendive, Candice (Steve) Dempewolf of Lindsay, Midge (Bob) Brilz of Glendive, Sue Brenner of Buffalo, WY, and Blaine Brenner of Glendive, numerous nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Ginger.

Shellie is preceded in death by her father Bano Brenner, who passed on the same date 23 years ago, and her brother Jon Brenner.
