With continued student enrollment growth, considerations are being made towards an additional elementary school to Watford City. A bond vote is scheduled for January 8, 2019. There will be three forums to help spread information about it. The first forum has been set for Tuesday, November 27 at 7 p.m. at the Watford City Intermediate School commons area, 100 3rd St NE, Watford City, ND.
The new 600 students Watford City Elementary School will be a 2 story, 87,964 square foot facility that fulfills the next step in the District's master plan. It will meet the growing enrollment and educational needs of our community with features such as collaborative learning spaces, up to date special education, building security, and bus/parent drop off.
