The Lower Yellowstone Chapter of ABATE (American Bikers Aiming Toward Education) of Montana is a nonprofit organization promoting motorcycle safety and awareness. We are involved in various community activities across Eastern Montana.

As the Holiday Season approaches we are looking forward to our 24th Annual Toy Drive. This community project collects new toys or dollar donations to buy new toys for those who are less fortunate in Richland County. We have been working with the Christmas Coalition and Gifts From The Heart for the last 19 years. Last year, because of the generosity of our community, we gathered toys to be dispersed among 169 families totaling 514 children. We collected all the toys or monetary donations from area companies, businesses, and individuals. The continued support of these sources is what keeps our toy drive going.

Now we are asking for a tax-deductible contribution that will make a difference in the life of a child at Christmas. This year we will be once again be selling chili, hot cocoa, hot cider and homemade baked goods outside of Johnson Hardware during the Christmas Stroll from 2 to 6 p.m. Bring a new unwrapped gift for donation and receive a free meal!

Monetary donations can be mailed to Maria Hodge, PO Box 62, Crane, MT 59217 or Stockman Bank-ABATE at 301 W. Holly St., Sidney, MT 59270.

To make arrangements for pickup call Maria Hodge at 406-480-3597.

Thank you for your continued support in this worthwhile endeavor during the Holiday Season. It is truly appreciated.
