SHS Speech, Drama & Debate Team competed in their last meet of this year, travelling to Laurel with a full team of competitors. The Drama Team finished 4th overall in Class A Sweepstakes with Classical Theatre Team Noah Kyle & Isaac Quiroz finishing 2nd, Shoua Vang & Daniel Schneider 4th. Dramatic Soloist Autumn Davis placed 5th, Josie Yockim 6th. Freshman Kodi Schultz is still funny placing 6th in Humorous Solo. The Dynamic Humorous Duo Josh Delaney & Tyler Berka placed 6th.
Speech & Debate Team had a tough competition but Christine Turek proved she is the one to watch by placing 1st for the third time this season in Memorized Public Address with Shea Roberts placing 6th. Senior Shanyn Reidle came in 8th in Impromptu Speaking. Lincoln Douglas Debater Lorraine Coronato proved that she is a great arguer by placing 7th. Sophomore Public Forum debaters Jazmine Hernadez & Brandon Smith placed 4th. The team will be hosting their home meet on January 4, 2019.
