PBS Travel Show Features Watford City and McKenzie County Based Episode

Daytime Emmy Award nominated TV host, Darley Newman, rolls out the sixth season of her PBS and Amazon Prime series “Travels with Darley” with an episode based in Watford City and McKenzie County.

Kicking off the series that travels to Brittany, France, California’s Central Coast, Culpeper, Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas and a special episode dedicated to delectable global foods you must try on your travels, Darley discovers and falls in love with North Dakota’s Badlands.

Watch as Darley mountain bikes along the beautiful Maah Daah Hey Trail, learns about Native American Culture at the Earth Lodge Village, hikes to surprising ice caves in the Little Missouri National Grassland, celebrates the local flavor at a Watford City festival and learns about presidential history in Theodore Roosevelt National Park on a new half hour PBS episode of “Travels with Darley.”

McKenzie County Tourism and the Watford City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two viewing parties on January 29 at 5 p.m. (CST) and on January 30 at 12:00 noon (CST) at Six Shooters Showhall. Guests are invited to attend a social, enjoy free popcorn and refreshments and view the show’s premier on the big screen.

Prairie Public will be airing Travels with Darley featuring Watford City/McKenzie County on Sunday, March 24 at 4:30 pm (CST) your local PBS station.
