Rising Above The River Fundraiser For Families Affected By Flooding, May 11

Join friends and community members for a night of entertainment in support of families affected by recent area flooding at the Rising Above the River event, Saturday, May 11.

The night opens with Denver-based Dueling Pianos Road Show, an all-inclusive sound and light show familiar to the Sidney community. The Road Show has performed in Sidney for several other community benefits, as well as events across Montana.

A buffet dinner will be served, provided by the Cutting Edge Dance Studio, followed by a live auction. Auction items have poured in from all over the MonDak Region in support of the event. Donations include a $650 gift certificate to Yellowstone Painting in Sidney; half a hog and processing donated by Full Throttle Show Pigs and Ryan’s Processing Plant in Circle, MT; a whole lamb with processing donated by Reimann Club Lambs and Kids in Richey, MT; and three yards of concrete from Sidney Red-E-Mix, as well as many, many other items. A silent auction will also take place throughout the evening.

The drawing for Sidney Mercantile’s raffle will also take place during Rising Above the River. The raffle back contains over $3,500 worth of items from Merge Fashion Lifestyle, Arch Ellwein’s Flyin’ Lion antique store and Sidney Mercantile and their vendors. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, and are available at Sidney Mercantile, located at 214 South Central Ave, in Sidney.

Local bands Valley Cash and Stone Yellow will take the stage beginning at 9 p.m. Valley Cash offers covers from an array of genres, including classic country, 80s, 90s, and 2000s rock. Stone Yellow boasts a setlist filled with everyone’s favorite 90s and 2000s cover songs.

The event offers a limited number of reserved tables, available for a sponsorship of $500. General admission tickets are available for $25 in Fairview at City Hall, Double Barrel Casino, Waterhole #3, Hotel Albert, and The Gold Rush Casino; and in Sidney at the Chamber of Commerce, Rod Iron Grill, Cattle-Ac, Reynolds Market, and Thrivent Financial. Tickets include the buffet, live and silent auction, and hours of entertainment. This is a 21+ event at the Richland Hockey Arena, located at 601 7th Ave SW, in Sidney.
