Summer Hours Begin May 26 At Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site

Williston, ND: Park hours at Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site will extend to 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Central Time) beginning May 26, 2019. These hours will be in effect from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

In addition to extended summer hours, the Trade House will also open for the summer. Open from 10:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m. (central time), interpretive talks by park living historians will detail the commercial and cultural exchanges between Euro American and American Indian trade partners that made Fort Union the most successful fur trading post on the Upper Missouri.

Summer Special events at Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site include: Rendezvous June 13-16, Indian Arts Showcase and Northern Plains Oyate Pow Wow August 3-4 and Living History Weekend August 31 – September 2. Saturday Kids Hands on History programs will begin June 22nd and run through August 17.

Fort Union Trading Post is located 24 miles north of Sidney, Montana and 25 miles southwest of Williston, North Dakota, via highway 1804.
