Children's Fishing Derby, June 1, Watford City

The 15th Annual Children's Fishing Derby was held 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, June 1 at Watford City Fishing Pond, Watford City, ND. This was a free event open to children 13 years old and under. They had several sponsors for this event that included, fishing poles donated by the National Wild Turkey Federation; tackle donated by Lund's One Stop; tackle boxes donated by the North Dakota Game and Fish, US Forrest Service Department of Agriculture, City of Watford City, Watford City Parks and Recreation, Watford City Eagles Aerie #3543, Meyer's Department Store, Oscar Knudtson, Heggen Equipment, Pro Auto Body, 1st International Bank & Trust, Dakota West Credit Union, Whiting Petroleum Company and Rotary International.

Carter Fyllesvilold gets some help from his Grandpa to remove the hook from the trout he landed in the fishing derby.
