Kinsey Ross of Bainville Competing for Miss Montana This Week

Kinsey Ross, 18, a Bainville High School graduate, will be competing in the Miss Montana Scholarship Pageant this year after competing in Montana's Outstanding Teen competition the past two years, She is guaranteed $950 in scholarship money as she competes to be the 70th Miss Montana June 20-22 at the DCHS auditorium in Glendive.

She will be singing for the talent portion, worth 50% in the Miss competition as swimsuit competition was eliminated.

Daughter of Teresa Ross, Kinsey plans to attend Montana State University majoring in sociology and minoring in criminology. She was a cheerleader and active in FFA at Bainville High School. Her platform of service is One Call Away: Suicide Prevention.

Two Sidney High School students Jessica Romo and Liliana Johnson are competing for Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen and they all would like your support.

The Miss Montana Scholarship Program and the Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen competition are held concurrently in the DCHS auditorium June 20-22 in Glendive at 7 p.m. nightly

The public can vote for their favorite Miss and Teen online at http://www.MissMontana.com. The winner advances to be a finalist and win a scholarship as the judges narrow their selection.

Friday at 1 p.m. is the Show Us Your Shoes Parade in downtown Glendive and Saturday at 1 p.m. is the Royal Tea where the contestants will be modeling fashions from the tea sponsor The VINT. Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen will be crowned Friday, June 21 followed by a gala of music and food sponsored by Cape Air at the Eastern Plains Event Center, 313 S, Merrill.

Miss Montana Competition continues Saturday June 22 at 7 p.m. with the finalists and the Montana's Choice announced and the judging begins anew. Miss Montana 2019 receives $5100 and represents Montana at the Miss America Competition. $37,000 in cash scholarships and more in prizes and applied scholarships are available to the 13 Outstanding Teen and 11 Miss Montana contestants.
