McKenzie County 4-Hers Participate In State 4-H Events

Jaden Murphy, son of Kim and Lee Murphy of Williston, received Grand Champion honors in the Junior Division of the Electronic Presentation category at the State 4-H Communication Arts Event held on July 21 at the Ward County Administration Building in Minot. Jaden shared the “The Toys” video he produced at this event.

Gracyn Darrington, daughter of Nikki and Patrick Darrington of Arnegard also participated in this event with her “The Life of Theodore Roosevelt” Interpretative Reading – Junior Division. Gracyn was awarded a participation ribbon.

The 4-H State Project Expo event was held on July 22 at the ND State Fair. Trey Larimer, son of Larry and Katie Larimer of Grassy Butte, participated in the contest with his “Computer Building” display. Ethan Roffler, son of Nikki and Jeff Roffler of Grassy Butte also participated in this event with “Creating Candles.” Both boys were awarded participation ribbons.

The State 4-H Clothing Revue was also held on July 22 at the ND State Fair. Gracyn Darrington also participated in this event with her “4th of July Outfit.” She received a participation ribbon at the contest.
