Information Needed On Vehicle VS Bicycle Crash, September 8, Watford City

On Sunday September 8, 2019 at approximately 7:20 p.m. Watford City Police Department Officers responded to the 300 block of 3rd Ave. SW for a vehicle vs, bicycle injury crash. Upon arrival officers made contact with an 8-year-old juvenile and his mother. The child had been riding in the 300 block of 3rd Ave SW when an older White Ford Ranger that was traveling west struck the child and bike. The Ford Ranger then failed to stop and continued west on 3rd Ave, SW from the scene. Witnesses inform law enforcement that the driver looked back and saw that the child had been hit and left the scene. The child was evaluated by members of the McKenzie County Ambulance Services and was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

WCPD is asking for assistance from the public in locating the vehicle involved. The vehicle is described as an older White Ford Ranger with possible front passenger side damage.
