2nd Annual Welcome to Watford Celebration Scheduled for Friday

On Friday, September 20, at the Watford City Rough Rider Center, the 2nd Annual Welcome to Watford Celebration will take place. This free event will start at 4:30 p.m. and conclude at 6:45 p.m.

Every year, new community members continue to pour into McKenzie County. So often, people who are new to the area have moved away from their family and friends and know nothing about Watford City, which makes it difficult to get involved in and become familiar with Watford City's community. So to help make these adjustments easier, community members came up with an event that offers newcomers the opportunity to learn more about Watford City's community and ideas on how to get involved.

The event will include representatives from area organizations, businesses, and houses of worship. There will also be bouncy houses and face painting for the kids, and so much more!

Additionally there will be a home Watford City High School Wolves football game next door to the Rough Rider Center at 7 p.m. at the Fridley Field. The organizers of the Welcome to Watford Celebration are hoping that by having this event from 4:30-6:45 p.m. they will catch some of the traffic that is planning to attend the game, and are hoping that some may decide to attend the game right at the completion of the Welcome to Watford Celebration.

Whether you are new to the community or have been here for a while; everyone is encouraged to attend this event on Friday, September 20!
