The Speech Drama & Debate Team traveled to Laurel on December 14 and competed against 15 teams. Speech and Debate did great against AA schools coming in 2nd place over all. With Senior Christine Turek leading the team with a 1st place in Memorized Public Address. Senior Sam Stephenson and his partner Brandon Smith took 1st in Public Forum Debate, Sean Earle & Jade Emly placed 7th, Madison Jasin and Krystan Jasin placed 8th. Freshman Colten Dahl placed 7th in Impromptu. Chloe Go placed 5th in Informative. And Senior Lorraine Coronato placed 8th in Lincoln Douglas Debate. The Drama Team fought hard but fell a few points short placing 2nd overall. The Dramatic Soloist led by senior Autumn Davidson placed 1st, Daniel Schneider placed 2nd and Senior Madi Brost placed 3rd. Humorous Duo team Josi Yockim and Kaileigh Laroche placed 5th and Humorous Solo Kodi Schulz placed 5th. Classical Theatre Noah Kyle & Isaac Quiroz placed 1st, Emma Cundiff and Wyatt Reid placed 3rd.
Christine Turek took 1st place for Memorized Public Address.
The team travels to Fergus next weekend, next is Christmas break and after that is Sidney's HOME MEET!
