It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Best of the West Ribfest in Watford City, scheduled for August 14, 2020.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly. The Board of Directors has had numerous meetings and discussions regarding the best interest of everyone involved to include the safety of our residents. After consulting with an attorney, the ND Department of Health and local medical staff-to achieve the CDC and ND State Guidelines with this event, is virtually impossible.
We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, not only to our teams and vendors but to our community as Ribfest is a great event that people look forward to all year.
We want to thank our community for your patience and understanding as we conducted our research and diligence in coming to this difficult deci-sion. We will continue to collaborate and work together to find creative and safe methods, to promote our community and local businesses.
We are actively planning our Best of the West Ribfest 2021. Save the date, August 13, 2021!
