The dates of Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, should be fun in Sidney’s downtown area.
On each day, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., several food vendors offering tasty treats will be located in Reese and Ray’s IGA’s parking lot.
Kelly Burke, Sidney IGA store manager, noted the vendors would include Pella’s Pantry, Sons of Norway’s Vikings and mini doughnuts. After receiving instructions how to prepare them from The Main Link, the IGA staff will prepare the great tasting sausages both days.
To provide plenty of room, the City has agreed to block off 2nd St.NW, between 2nd and 3rd Ave. NW, in front of IGA’s parking lot.
Sidewalk sales are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, as shoppers are encouraged to take part in “COVID-ing the Streets.”
The City has agreed to allow vendor to set up on the lot across from the Sidney Eye Care Center. There is no cost for the vendor’s space, but spots will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis.
