Watford City Rough Rider Center To Offer A Fun Filled Day Oct. 24

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Rough Rider Center will be hosting its 3rd Annual Fall Festival. The event will start at 11 a.m. with a vendor show, concessions, fall photo ops, carnival games, wagon rides, pumpkin painting kits, face painting, and a hay bale maze.

In addition to this, they will be having a Haunted Swim event from 3 p.m. to 5:30 and a Haunted Skate event from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person to attend the vendor show and $10 per person to attend the whole event. The admission fee includes a pumpkin painting kit, haunted swim, and haunted skate.

"We are excited to celebrate Fall and get the community into the Rough Rider Center for a day of fun and offer home business a venue to sell their products," stated Shelly Hopkins, one of the event staff at the Rough Rider Center.

The event will follow CDC Guidelines by implementing social distancing. Hopkins said, "There will be an element of social distancing and staff will be wearing masks. The public will not be required to wear masks. Due to COVID-19, Long X Arts Foundation is making take-home kits for all the kids to do self, or parent guided art at home."

Hopkins explained that she is excited to offer this event to the public. She said, "I think people are tired of nothing happening, so they are excited to have something to do, a return to normalcy. We want to give them a reason to get out and feel the freedom!"
