Building A Dream

Mark and Patty Rose, Fairview are enjoying their "almost" completed house that overlooks the valley west of Fairview. The home was custom built last year by Curtis MacGrady and the MacGrady Construction crew. Heidy MacGrady drew the home.

Quality Concrete Construction (concrete), Prairie Electric (electrical work), Agri Industries (plumbing), Frontier Heating Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Sidney Paint and Glass (flooring), Builders FirstSource (building materials), and Creative Solutions (cabinets and countertops) helped make this home come together.

Brenda Larson, Creative Solutions, Sidney, helped bring a cozy country comfort style to life in the Rose's kitchen.

"Mark and Patty are in love with their new home and rightfully so! The views overlooking Fairview are stunning and many sunrises will be enjoyed from the deck," Brenda Larson said. "The home can best be described as cozy country comfort. One initially feels welcome and comfortable in this stunning home. Patty has a wonderful style of decorating."

The entire home features a soft light shade of gray paint called "Repose Gray" that accents the luxury vinyl floor in a gravel-colored, crackled wood design that flows throughout the upper level. Various shades of white perfectly complement the gray hues and many tones of wood add a comfortable feeling to the décor.

"I was so privileged to work on Patty's kitchen,'' stated Larson. "She knew what she wanted but was still budget conscious. It is efficient and beautiful. The tones of gray in the floor, walls, and brick backsplash really highlight the white Craftsman styled cabinetry. The cabinet layout features the ever-popular L shape, but a large island provides more storage, efficiency and seating."

The home has 9-foot ceilings, which not only makes the area seem more spacious but also provides lots of room for decorating. "Patty has done a great job of decorating not only the kitchen but the rest of the home," said Larson.

The brick fireplace matches the brick backsplash in the kitchen, and it features the same gray quartz that is on the countertops. The wood furniture matches the barndoor and is accented with several pieces of chalk-painted items, done by the homeowner. Patty Rose explained that the house is a "dream come true."
