Open Burning Not Permitted In Richland Co. As Of April 7

Due to the dry conditions in Richland County the Richland County Commissioners have issued a resolution for no open burning in Richland County as of April 7.

The resolution reads as follows:

Emergency Resolution No 2021-06

Open Burning Not Permitted in Richland County

Whereas, existing dry conditions, low humidity, high winds and continued high temperatures contribute to hazardous fire conditions, and there currently have been many fires in our regions; and

Whereas, condition continue to deteriorate;

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Richland County Commissioners, that Richland County be declared in Stage I restrictions for burning.

This resolution shall become effective at midnight April 7, 2021 and be in effect until further notice.
