The MonDak Area Stockgrowers held their spring meeting May 26 at the VFW, Sidney. The group discussed the upcoming Rockin' Your Heart event being held June 4-5 in cooperation with the Foundation for Community Care. Montana Stockgrowers Association president Jim Steinbeisser presented information on the current status of the cattle industry, beef checkoff initiatives and the expansion of local meat packers. Montana Stockgrowers Association director of natural resources Raylee Honeycutt (pictured above) presented an overview of the accomplishments during the last legislative session and also provided some insight into President Biden's 30 x 30 (a.k.a. America the Beautiful Conservation Plan) executive order.
