Area Halloween Events Scheduled This Week

SIDNEY

The Sidney Wrestling Club Raffle Night and Halloween Party will be holding a chicken fried steak dinner at the Ranger Lounge at 5:30 p.m.Friday, Oct. 29 with a raffle after the meal and a costume contest at 9:30 p.m., plus games, cash prizes, 50/50, silent auction, Heads & Tails and a live auction. A Halloween Costume Dance sponsored by the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Sidney, from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at the St. Matthew’s Parish Center Gym for grades 6-8. Admission fee is $10.

A Halloween Movie Day, will be sponsored by the Sidney Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Centre Theatre, 211 S. Central Ave. “Hotel Transylvania” is at 12 p.m. and “The Night Before Christmas” will show at 3 p.m. A $2 admission will be charged and Mimi’s Kitchen Co. will have treat bags available for sale.

A Children’s Halloween Carnival will be held at the Sidney Moose Lodge from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. All children will receive a “Tommy Moose” Halloween bag.

Sidney Assembly of God will be sponsoring “Limitless Kids! Trunk or Treat!”Saturday, Oct. 30 from 1-4 p.m. Enjoy candy, fun, inflatables, prizes, maze, corn pit and more.

Richland County Drug Free Communities presents “The Sidney Scream Youth Scavenger Hunt”. The hunt begins at 3 p.m. at Richland County Community Services Building, 1201 W. Holly St. on Saturday, Oct. 30 for Sidney youth ages 13-18. Also there will be a special viewing of “Insidious” at 8:30 p.m. at Centre Theatre.

Reynolds Market’s Annual Halloween Costume Contest is back! Starting at 2 p.m Sunday, Oct. 31. Prizes for ages infant to 12 years old and family group costumes. Come Trick or Treat at the Sidney Jaycees Trunk of Treats in the Reynolds parking lot after the costume contest.

WATFORD CITY

A Haunted House will be set up at the Rough Rider Center, Watford City, from 7-10 p.m. General entry is $10 and “Front of the Line” fast pass is $20 (limited quantity per night). A portion of the proceeds will be used to supply winter clothes to elementary school students in need!

Watford City will have their Trail of Treats on Friday, Oct. 29 on Main Street from 3-5 p.m. Area businesses will be set up in the street handing out treats to all kids, big and small.

RICHEY

The 2nd Annual Richey Haunted House will be at the Silvernale-Shila Funeral Chapel at 7-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-30. $5 per person. Enter at your own risk! Flashing lights, fog, and black maze. NOT SUGGESTED FOR YOUNG KIDS.

The Witchy Richey 5k-1.1 mile Fun Run/Walk starts 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30. It will be a fundraiser for the Richey Public Library and Richey community events. Prizes will be awarded for best adult and children’s costumes. $25 adult (18+) $15 child. Starts and ends at the Dip-N-Twist.

The 2nd Annual Halloween Kiddie Carnival starts Sunday, Oct. 31 from 12-2 p.m. at the Richey Senior Citizen Center. Free will donation lunch starting at 11:30 a.m.

WILLISTON

A Halloween Spooktakular consists of a drive through the Spring Lake Park for a Scavenger Hunt and then swing through MonDak Animal Rescue parking lot for treats for people and their furry friends on Saturday Oct. 30 from 1-4 p.m. Accepting pet supply & food donations for local shelters.
