City Of Williston, Sanford Health Announce Plans For Williston Multi-Specialty Clinic

Williston, ND - As a first step toward enhancing health care in Williston and in partnership with the City of Williston, Sanford Health will build a multi-specialty clinic in Williston Square. Sanford will break ground on this new location in mid-2022 with an anticipated opening date of late 2023.

Located on the corner of 33rd St. and 2nd Ave. West in the southeastern area of Williston Square, the clinic has the potential to include more than 100 exam rooms and offer primary care and specialty services including a walk-in clinic, infusion center, imaging equipment, and a lab.

“We believe Williston should be a regional hub for health care,” said Michael LeBeau, M.D., Sanford Health Bismarck region president/CEO. “This clinic is Sanford’s first major investment in the community to realize that vision. We will continue to work with the city on plans to expand the medical campus on Williston Square and bring additional services to the region.”

“In the past two years, Williams County has granted $2 million for mental health treatment, and the city and county together have repurposed the former Sloulin Field terminal to a state-of-the-art 911 center and home for Emergency Management,” said City of Williston Mayor Howard Klug. “With the addition of Sanford Health, the northwest region of North Dakota will serve its residents with health care, from emergencies to the day-to-day, here at home, in the heart of Williston at Williston Square. We welcome this long-lasting relationship with Sanford Health and are excited for this first step.”

In addition to health care, Williston Square, an 800-acre development on the former site of Sloulin Field International Airport, includes plans for a Civic Center, shopping, restaurants and new residential homes and apartment buildings.
