Allcheck Medical Clinic Holds Grand Opening, Adds Additional Providers

Sidney's Top Stories of 2021

The Allcheck Medical Clinic held its grand opening July 14 at 223 N. Central Ave., Sidney (located at the east end of the Checkers building).

The Allcheck Medical Clinic offers patient health care for every stage of life. Its goal is to provide a medical facility where patients can be comfortable, listened to, and understood. They focus on prevention and staying well - they will be available when something comes up, whether that means caring for you in the clinic or helping coordinate the care you need with other specialists. They understand the busy home and work lives of patients and offer compassion and respect, with flexible appointment times, easy scheduling, and secure online access to results and other information.

They have three providers on staff at the clinic. Carlos Trevino, MD, is from Texas and has been in the medical field for over 30 years primarily practicing family medicine.

In September Martha Nugent, APRN-CDP-AGNP-C, (Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner) was added to the medical clinic team. Martha became a registered nurse in 2011. She enjoyed caring for oncology patients in the hospital, and her specialty naturally became medical oncology. Martha later attended the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. She became board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in April 2019. She moved to Sidney, in Jan. 2020 to work alongside Dr. Chad Pedersen at Sidney Health Center - Cancer Care as the Oncology Nurse Practitioner where she cared for patients undergoing cancer treatment. Her areas of experience include oncology and radiology nursing, chemotherapy administration, wound care, and patient education. She also ran the High-Risk Breast Clinic, Pulmonary Nodule Clinic, and counseled patients prior to genetic testing.

Martha loves helping others, but there is a special place in her heart for the elderly population. She recently became a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners ®, so that she can teach caregivers how to help our loved ones with dementia.

Martha is an active member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Montana State Oncology Society and Oncology Nursing Society. She frequently travels outside of the local area to educate her peers in Montana and Wyoming about the NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) guidelines for follow-up on incidental pulmonary nodules and the challenges of lung cancer treatment in rural areas.

Martha was just voted as one of the top three for the Advanced Practice Provider by the newspaper readers of Richland County. Martha states "she is proud to join Dr. Carlos Trevino, the team at Allcheck Medical Clinic, and believes we are a wonderful addition to the community, and is excited to grow with us!"

On Dec.1 Allcheck announced the addition of Van K. Le, PA-C.

Van was born in Vietnam and spent most of her teenage years in England before moving to the US in the late 1990s.

Van attended South Bank University in England and received her BS honors in food science in 1991. She then received her BS in biology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016 and graduated from her Master Program in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Feb. 2021. During her clinical rotations, she discovered a love for family medicine, which emphasizes the importance of having a long-term working relationship fostered between providers and their patients across the ages.
