REDC Adds New Project Assistant To Team

The Richland Economic Development Corp. (REDC) gained a new team member, Corinne Bordwell.

As the new project assistant, she attends public meetings on behalf of REDC, is the initial contact for the office, manages marketing aspects for REDC including the website and other projects as they arise, and several other administrative duties.

"When I heard about the position at REDC, I applied right away. I interviewed with Leslie Messer and Leif Anderson, and I was very hopeful that I would get the position. I immediately noticed a like-mindedness to help Richland County people, the community businesses, and to learn about Richland County's economic development," said Bordwell.

"When I was offered the position, I was very ecstatic and grateful that I got to work with Leslie; I was eager to start and learn from her. I want to learn more about the company and how I can contribute to Richland County like the great REDC board members do."

Originally from Iowa, Bordwell has been a community member of Sidney for over two years.

She knew the project assistant position would be the perfect fit because of her strong passion for local government and business development. As a mother of three children, she also has a desire to work towards making small communities a safe and desirable place to live.

"As I continue to learn and grow in my position, I am most excited to work with the small businesses and be a resource to help them. I find it a privilege to help others on their journey with their dreams. My hope is that I am a valuable resource for the community when questions or concerns arise, that I am able to help them with the solution or point them in the direction of someone who can."
