Racing Season Kicks Off At Williston Basin Speedway In May

The Williston Basin Speedway is ready to start off the 2022 racing season. There will be several events going on throughout May and all the way through September.

For the 2022 season, the Speedway is hosting 14 events. They are planning for several big nights this summer.

Starting in May there will be a car show May 6, Band Day/Season Opener May 7, and races on May 14 and 28.

The Speedway will have its Tougher Than Dirt Tour on June 10, followed by the Upper Missouri Valley Fair Races June 24 and 25.

One of the Speedway's biggest events of the year is July 2, the T-N-T Fireworks and Bras for a Cause event. The Speedway is known for putting on one of the best fireworks shows in the area.

The Annual Dakota Classic Modified Tour with stock cars is July 11 and next is a race July 23.

Championship Night is Aug. 27. The Fall Roundup event is set for Sept. 17 and 18.

The Speedway is looking for additional volunteers to help contribute to a successful racing season. It relies heavily on volunteers to help operate the track. They have a nine-member board, four officers, and five general board members. They have a solid group of volunteers that help from checking drivers into helping with track prep.

The Williston Basin Speedway is always looking for new faces to get involved.
