Fink Family Chiropractic Focuses On Fast & Effective Recovery

Fink Family Chiropractic located at 120 E Main St., Sidney has been serving the MonDak area for nearly 10 years.

Fink Family Chiropractor, Dr. Michael Fink, D.C. has several years of experience under his belt, with over 20 years of experience.

Originally from Sidney, Fink graduated from Sidney High School and attended Concordia College of Moorhead, MN, where he graduated with a degree in Biology and later obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2002.

Shortly after graduating college, Fink moved to Belgrade, MT, where he worked in a sports chiropractic clinic. While in Belgrade, Fink was active with the local high school sports teams, treating injured athletes and performing sports physicals.

In 2012, Fink returned to his hometown and opened Fink Family Chiropractic and started offering DOT physicals, DOT drug and alcohol testing, Sports Physicals, and chiropractic care for all ages for everything from neck and back pain to childhood ear infections and colic. The most common things he treats are headaches and sports injuries.

For the past 10 years, the Fink Family Chiropractic Clinic has teamed up with Yellowstone Chiropractic to host school sports physicals events, donating all the proceeds back to the Sidney High School athletic department, averaging up to $5,000 a year.

Fink loves serving the community and helping his patients in the least invasive way possible.

"Small town Montana people are not real eager to take pills, meds, or shots for really much of anything. I feel like it is becoming more and more common for people to not question that, and it is rare for an adult to not have three or four medications that they are on daily. That just strikes me as odd that people think that is normal; the body is meant to heal itself and most often that medication leads to another medication," said Fink.

As a licensed chiropractor, he uses chiropractic adjustments as a therapeutic treatment to help reduce pain and correct the body's alignment. Chiropractic is a natural method of healing that does not require the use of pharmaceutical drugs or invasive surgery.

"If someone goes to their medical provider for muscle or joint pain, 9 times out of 10 they are going to get pain meds or muscle relaxers, and those are going to cover up your symptoms and usually won't fix it."

The American Medical Association's guidelines even suggest a minimum of two weeks of conservative care (chiropractic care or physical therapy) before going in for a MRI, injection, or surgical consult.

If a problem is beyond the scope of chiropractic care, a chiropractor will send a patient off for an MRI and potentially refer them out for a consult with their medical provider or a surgeon.
