"Murder Of The High Wizard" Dinner Theatre June 4

The Eastern Montana Out of the Darkness Walk Committee is bringing a fun and challenging event to start the summer. June 4, they are bringing “Murder of the High Wizard”, An Evening of Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to Sidney.

The dinner is a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Eastern Montana Out of the Darkness Walk Committee. On Saturday, June 4, 6–8 or 9 p.m. the event will be held at Sidney’s Moose Lodge, 101 3rd St. SE. It is open to the public, not just members of the Moose. Those who attend are encouraged to dress up as their favorite magical being. A roast beef dinner followed by a dessert of chocolate frog topped brownies and Butter Beer will be served. After dinner, the mystery will start. Each table will be a team of investigators responsible for figuring out who the murderer is and the Sidney High School Drama students will be playing the suspects. Dinner is at 6:15 p.m. and tickets are $30 per person, $55 for a couple, and a table of eight for $250. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/murder-of-the-high-wizard-murder-mystery-dinner-p-tickets-276329688537. Nick Kallem, Eastern Montana Out of the Darkness, said, “We as a walk committee wanted to try and bring something different to the community and we figured a murder mystery would be fun.” He said they found a company, called Playing With Murder, who provided them with the script and steps to hosting the event for a large group.

According to their brochure, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention was founded in 1987. They have since grown from a few loss survivors and researchers to the nation’s largest suicide prevention organization. The Eastern Montana Out of the Darkness Walk Committee was started just a few years ago to help raise funds for the AFSP and bring suicide awareness to eastern Montana. They held their first walk in 2017. Seating is limited so get your tickets soon.
