Tractor Supply to Host Farmer's Market October 1st

This year, on Oct. 1, Tractor Supply, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, will be welcoming the usual vendors for the Richland County Farmer’s Market to join them for their first, ever, Tractor Supply market.

The company announced on Aug. 10 that it would be hosting a nationwide Farmers Market event at local stores on Saturday, Oct. 1. According to the company’s website, http://www.tractorsupply,com, farmers, growers, craft makers, artisans, and other producers were encouraged to sign up and share their homegrown and handmade items with the community. Here in Sidney, there already would be a farmer’s market on Oct. 1, so instead of having the two different markets competing on that day for business, Environmental Health Director Stephanie Ler contacted Sidney’s local Tractor Supply and requested that on that day Tractor Supply Company market and Richland County Farmer’s Market vendors be combined. Preregistration was required in Sidney’s Tractor Supply store or at the company’s website by Sept. 13 just for that Saturday. The Tractor Supply market setup will be at 8 a.m. and the event will be from 9 a.m. until the vendors leave or 6 p.m., whichever comes first. The Sidney Tractor Supply will be putting a list of the expected vendors and what they will be selling on Facebook.

Tractor Supply Company has been passionate about serving its unique niche, targeting the needs of recreational farmers, ranchers, and all those who enjoy living the rural lifestyle for more than 80 years and by June 26, 2022, the Company was operating 2,016 Tractor Supply stores in 49 states, a customer mobile app and an e-commerce website at http://www.TractorSupply.com. The company is one of the newer businesses to come to Sidney and has been here only since 2014 but has been a staple for machinery, tools, clothing, plants, chicks, pet, and livestock feed and supplies. According to local Tractor Supply event organizer, Amanda Neuleib, “It is a chance to get more involved in the community and seemed right.”
