Williams County Injury Crash, Sept. 21

On Sept. 21 at approximately 3:26 p.m. CDT a 2002 Ford F350 pickup, driven by Kyle Henson, 31-year-old male, Minot, ND, hauling a gooseneck trailer was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 near mile marker 49, west of Ray. A John Deere 4430 tractor, driven by Thomas Daniel, 67-year-old male, Ray, ND towing a bailer was traveling eastbound in the same area. Henson failed to see the slow-moving tractor and struck the rear end of the tractor. Daniel was ejected from the tractor and suffered serious injuries as a result. After striking Daniel, Henson continued into the south ditch where his vehicle came to rest. Henson was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Henson also suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Both Henson and Daniel were transported via ambulance to Tioga Medical Center in Tioga.

At the time of the crash the road conditions were good and it was clear and sunny.

The agencies who responded to the crash were NDHP, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Ray Ambulance, Ray Fire Department and Tioga PD.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
