MonDak Heritage Center Announces "The Big and the Small of It" - Women.Artists.Masters. Exhibition!

The MonDak Heritage Center announces an exhibition of works by Women.Artists.Masters. (WAM) on display through Jan. 28, 2023 at the MonDak Heritage Center, 120 3rd Ave SE, Sidney.

"The Big and the Small of It" features art from WAM a collaborative project of artists Deb Keirce, Maria Bennet Hock, and Carrie Waller. Women.Artists.Masters. travel and exhibit the world together, and also pursue individual art careers. Together, the artwork by these three artists invites viewers to lean in, step back and experience.

Debra Keirce, Maria Bennett Hock and Carrie Waller render representational paintings that highlight the ways the big and the small work together. Keirce Broadlands, VA, paints tiny vibrant oils of warm moments. Hock Cary, NC creates atmospheric portraits that hint at larger complex narratives. Waller's colorful compositions experiment with scale, zooming in and out to create new perspectives. In this exhibition, Keirce has palm sized oil miniatures, some of which are hidden in boxes. Hock paints on large canvases that draw viewers in. Waller paints everyday objects, elevating them to their most beautiful, larger than life presentation. Keirce's art is often created under magnification. Hock's paints with bold loose strokes in oils. Waller's masterfully splashes watercolor with intricate nuances and dramatic light.

The artists of WAM are on a collaborative journey made possible through the power of art and their mission is to encourage other groups to come together in a spirit of business and friendship. Come view their truly incredible works of art and collaboration at the MonDak Heritage Center!
