Award-winning Piano Entertainer Jason Lyle Black To Perform In Watford City

The Watford City Area Concert Association and the Long X Arts Foundation will feature pianist Jason Lyle Black with his program "From Blockbusters to Broadway: 100 Hits From Screen to Stage" on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Watford City High School Performing Arts Center.

Jason Lyle Black is an award-winning piano entertainer whose clever arrangements, fun stories, and onstage charm have won countless fans throughout the world. Black takes audiences on a journey through numerous musical styles, playing nearly 100 songs in his fast-paced show, all interwoven with his comedic stories like "Songs Not to Play at People's Weddings and Funerals".

When not entertaining on stage, Black works as an arranger and composer for the piano, having authored three bestselling piano books with the world's largest music publisher, Hal Leonard. Piano students will be impressed by his remarkable ability to play as easily sitting backward as forwards while performing music from Disney and Broadway classics, to songs from the Beatles, AC/DC, and movie theme songs.

The concert is part of the Watford City Area Concert Association membership organization that brings in nationally acclaimed entertainers throughout the year. It is in its fifth season and continues to be committed to providing high quality entertainment at an affordable rate for members of the community.

The Long X Arts Foundation would like to invite all teachers and students to attend this concert for free. While individual tickets are available to this event for everyone else, a 2023-24 concert series membership is recommended to get affordable admission to the concerts throughout the year. A $50 membership grants access to five Watford City based concerts as well as reciprocity with concert series lineups in Williston, Dickinson, Crosby, and Hazen. There are a variety of membership levels to choose from. To find out more contact Jessie Scofield, Long X Arts Foundation Director at 701-770-8659 or [email protected] or visit
