Fusion Score At 2C Meet

The Richey/Lambert Fusion scored 66 points in the girls' division for fifth place at the District 2-C track meet held in Lambert on May 7. The Fusion scored two points in the boys' division.

Jolee Klempel enjoyed an outstanding meet despite the cold and rainy weather conditions.

Klempel finished first in both the 100-meter hurdles at 16.34 seconds and 300-meter hurdles at 49.36 seconds.

The freshman placed second in the shot put at 31-7 and cleared 4-10 for third in the high jump.

Richey/Lambert's 400-meter relay team featuring Kally Strohm, Lauren Prevost, Brynne Hill and Klempel finished first with a time of 54.18 seconds.

Hill placed fifth in the triple jump at 32-4 and sixth in the long jump at 14-0.

Jade Boese-Robbins finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 20.61 seconds.

Boese-Robbins took fifth in the 800 at 2:55.34 and Hill was sixth at 2:56.54.

Strohm finished sixth in the 100 with a time of 13.71 seconds.

Hill took sixth at 1:11.53 and Boese-Robbins was seventh at 1:14.84 in the 400.

The 1600-meter relay team of Meroun Hilal, Boese-Robbins, Prevost and Strohm took third at 5:20.72.

Taking seventh were Brooke Lien in the discus at 73-10 and Prevost in the javelin at 78-2.

In the boys' division, Tanner Goosen cleared 5-2 for sixth place in the high jump.

Austin Lien earned seventh in the discus at 98-8.

Malik Boufenara took seventh in the 3200 at 12:35.19.

The 1600-meter relay team of Boufenara, William Head, James Head and Daniel Reitz placed sixth at 4:37.35.

The 400-meter relay team of Gus Klempel, Lien, W. Head and Goosen took seventh at 50.85 seconds.
