Bonnie was called home June 12, 2024, surrounded by her family and to be joined by her heavenly family.

Bonnie Jean Neu was born March 7, 1943, to Ervin and Luella Norgaard. It was the midst of a spring snowstorm. We always used to tease her that she was found under a rock, but I think a snowdrift would have been more accurate.

She grew up on the family farm west of Sidney. Her summers were spent playing with her sister Beverly, playing at the natural corral, and all the typical farm kid things. Then another sister joined the family. Nina was her name. School was attended at the Brorson School and Sidney High School. We all got to experience stacking hay, but Bonnie was the chosen one for milking the cows. But not to get ahead of myself, there was another sibling. The prince was born, and he was called Daryl.

While in high school, Bonnie met Wayne Neu, a Minnesota fella that caught her eye. They were married on June 5, 1960, and began their life in Fairview, MT. Construction business began their life and is in business to this day. They were blessed with four wonderful children, Julie, Mark, Tim, and Paul. As the children flew on and left the nest, Bonnie was blessed to raise her grandson Tyler, also known as one of her sons.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening. Her pickles had to be the best ever! She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, and her trips to Florida to see Tim and his family.

Shortly after Wayne's death, she and Tyler moved to Sidney. She spent a lot of time with her sister Nina. Between the two of them their sense of humor was ridiculous. You never knew where those two would end up. Who are we kidding; they were mostly at garage sales. There were many adventures Bonnie and Nina took. Some were with Bev and Daryl as well, like camping and the family reunions. In 2016 Bonnie was diagnosed with Parkinson's and soon after moved into The Lodge where she enjoyed watching the squirrels out her window. As her disease progressed, she moved to the Sidney Extended Care and lived there until she passed. She so enjoyed the staff on Angel Avenue. They were a very caring group of nurses and aides. She enjoyed all the visitors she had, family and friends, the rides with the boys, and the Wing Wing (ice cream) that she thought was very tasty.

Her faith was with her to the very end. God blessed us all for knowing Bonnie, a great lady, sister, friend, and especially mother. She is survived by her daughter Julie (Tom) Jimison, sons; Mark (Sheila) Neu, Tim and Paul Neu, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters; Beverly White, Nina Keller, and brother, Daryl (Cathy) Norgaard, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, and her grandson, Wyatt.
