This October, the McKenzie County Ag Expo will continue their tradition of providing events for the community to enjoy. Fridays the “Pumpkin Pickin’ Palooza” will be open from 3-6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sundays from 12-4 p.m. Admission on Friday and Sunday is $5/person, and Saturday is $10 per person.
Saturday, Oct. 5, the Ag Expo and Rough Rider Center will team up for Fall-ooza Fest! which will feature food trucks, petting zoo, vendors, bounce houses, a train, corn maze and more! The Rough Rider Center is hosting the Fall Frolic 5k. Registration for the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Expo, with the race starting at 9 a.m. Cost to join the Fall Frolic is $35, and those interested can sign up at http://www.roughridercenter.com. For those looking to compete in a different form, the Fall Fest will also have their first ever pie contest. Pies can be dropped between 10 a.m. and noon for judging.
Every weekend in October will see the Ag Expo offer weekend activities as part of the Pumpkin Pickin Palooza. They hope offering a local event will save families on traveling out of town for a fall experience. Each weekend will have a different theme, with the 11-13th called “Public Safety” with the Bakken Shootout motorsports event.
Details as available can be found on the McKenzie County Ag Expo facebook page or website, http://www.mcagexpo.com under their events page.
