Williston, ND—The annual Holiday Lights Parade will return to Downtown Williston on Friday, Nov. 29. The 2024 theme is “Holiday Movies” and will transform the parade into a magical holiday celebration straight from your favorite holiday movies with vibrant community cheer, creative floats, and a merry time for all.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. in Downtown Williston. The parade will start at the intersection of 2nd St. W. and Main Street where it will travel north towards Harmon Park. Street closures for intersections 2nd- 6th will begin at 4 p.m. and closures for intersections 6th-11th will begin at 5 p.m.
Parade Watch Party Sites
This year the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to watch the Holiday Lights Parade at designated Watch Party Sites along the Parade Route in addition to the sidewalks following the parade route. There will be no parking available along the parade route.
Watch Party Sites will be available at the following locations:
Hedderich’s Lot- This site is the WACC hub and will provide bleachers, patio heaters, and information for float voting.
First Lutheran Church- Stop in and warm up before, during, and after the Holiday Lights Parade with hot cocoa, cider, coffee, and homemade cookies made with love. Free Will Offering to benefit The God’s Child Project.
Parking Lot South of BOSS- Enjoy a viewing experience of the parade right next to First Lutheran Church.
Warm Up After Light Up Celebration
After the parade, join us as Santa makes his way to the Warm Up After Light Up Celebration at the James Memorial Art Center. Enjoy live holiday music, delicious hot cocoa, warm apple cider, and a visit with Santa for the kids. Make a toy donation, where each donation will be entered toward a FREE James membership.
Float Applications
Anyone who wants to sponsor or participate in the parade can sign up online at the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce “Holiday Lights Parade” page at https://www.willistonchamber.com/holiday-lights.
Non-Member Registration is $50 per float, Member Registration is $25 per float, and the deadline is Monday, Nov. 18 at 11:59 p.m.
