Parade Of Lights: A Sidney Christmas Tradition

The Sidney Parade of Lights is promising to be a cold Montana night this year. The parade is held annually the night after Thanksgiving and is always something special to see. It is a time when our town's spirit of holiday cheer shines the brightest. This year, a special thanks goes out to Western Choice Cooperative, who has stepped up to be the primary parade prize sponsor. As the sponsor of the event, Western Choice Cooperative invites families and friends to bundle up, grab a blanket and a chair and head down to watch what promises to be a magical night in our hometown. Michelle Judd, the store's manager, says "Western Choice Coop is excited to be a parade sponsor this year. We enjoy every year seeing the floats line up and are looking forward to having the privilege of helping judge the floats. It's wonderful to offer small warm drinks for free and this year we are adding a snickerdoodle cookie for free right before, during, and after the parade while they last".

This year's parade will also feature the Sunrise City Rockettes a group of Cutting Edge Dancers that will entertain at the end of the parade. This is a local dance group under the direction of Jennifer Carlile and every year the town lines up to watch them. They also perform at several locations around town during the Christmas season.

Make plans to head downtown on Friday night and enjoy the kick-off to the holidays!
