Sidney Government Review Board Sworn In

The three winning candidates for the government review board were sworn in Monday, Nov.18 at the Sidney City Council meeting. Wade Whiteman, Jordan Mayer and Janet Sergent are now tasked with reviewing Sidney's form of government and making recommendations for improvement if needed.

The first meeting of the board must be held within 10 days of certification of the election. That meeting will be mostly organizational, including choosing a chair person. The members will attend official training Dec. 10 in Sidney, which is hosting the training for Eastern Montana including Glendive and Fairview and several county governments.

All meetings of the study commission will be public with agendas and meeting minutes published on the city website. Residents are encouraged to voice their opinions at those meetings.
