(Updated 1-3-25): The event has been cancelled due to illness.
(Original Story): The holidays are such a lovely time, but they can also be the time of year where you just can’t add one more thing! So in light of that, we wanted to slow down and savor this time of year by gathering for a cozy Hygge style evening together, Friday, Jan. 3, 6-8 p.m., McKenzie County Heritage Park, 904 2nd Ave. SW, Watford City, ND.
Come with your current projects, whether it is crochet or knitting or embroidery, or start a new one! And if you aren’t confident in your skills yet, we will have people here that can help you. We also want to gather your input for our future topics so please come and give your requests! Relationship and community are some of the best gifts that we have to offer each other so don’t miss out on the opportunity to join us for a special evening together! Expect cozy snacks and good conversation!
For generations, we passed down our old-fashioned crafts and vintage skills to the next generation. But with the onset of the industrial revolution, factories were able to replace these age-old crafts and the craftspeople who practiced them. We believe that these old-fashioned skills are best learned from one another!
Who is it for?
Do you need community? Are you up for learning an old fashioned skill? Then this series is for you! While the classes are geared toward adults, ‘tweens who want to learn are welcome to come with their parents!
Supplies needed: Bring your current projects! Or a crochet hook and some yarn and we can start you on a new project!
We are a nonprofit so while we won’t charge for the classes, we will happily accept your donations! A light snack will be served.
Please come ready to learn!
Let’s join together as a community and discover the secret to wintering well as we reconnect with the old-fashioned life!
