"This rodeo has been a part of Killdeer's history and heritage for the past 98 years and is synonymous with the 4th of July in Killdeer. Last year, our rodeo had around 800 contestants that participated in the three-day event with many of the top NFR competitors competing at our rodeo," said Stacy Steffan Killdeer Saddle Club treasurer.
Since 2019, the rodeo has undergone many changes. The Killdeer Saddle Club purchased land outside the city of Killdeer and built a new facility with two arenas, hillside seating, stall barn, and a community building. The new location is located about a mile west of Killdeer on the Hwy 22 Bypass truck route.
Tickets for the event will be $15 for adults, $5 for kids, and 6 years of age and younger are free - tickets can be purchased ahead of time online at http://www.killdeermountainrounduprodeo.com.
