Rollover In McKenzie Co. With Serious Injuries

A one vehicle roll over Thursday, April 20, at approximately 7:37 CST on Hwy 73 near mile marker 2, approximately 18 miles east of Watford City, ND, resulted in serious injuries.

A 2011 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 26-year-old, male, Buda, TX, was traveling westbound on Hwy 73. The Jeep lost control, entered the south ditch, and rolled. The driver was ejected and sustained serious life-threatening injuries. The driver was taken by ambulance to McKenzie County Health, Watford City, then flown to Trinity Health, Minot.

At the time of the crash the road conditions were icy and the weather conditions had flurries.

The agencies who responded to the crash were North Dakota Highway Patrol, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Mandaree Ambulance, McKenzie County Ambulance, Sanford Air Med, and Keene Fire and Quick Response Unit.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
