"KING ARTHUR'S QUEST" Missoula Children's Theater Auditions Scheduled For July 10

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of "KING ARTHUR'S QUEST" on Monday, July 10 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Watford City High School Theater. There are roles for those students entering 1-8 grade. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor and Director. Up to four students will be cast as Assistant Directors. Those auditioning should arrive at 11:30 a.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are King Arthur; Guinevere; Merlin; the Raven; Taliesin; Lancelot; the Knights; the Squires; the Camelotians; the Lady of the Lake; Mordred, Morgan Le Fey; Uther Pendragon; the Damsels; and the Minis. All students, grades 1-8 are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary, but a smile J never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time! Assistant directors will also be cast to assist with the technical aspects of the production.

The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, and props. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week Tuesday, July 11-Friday July 14 from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Watford City High School Theater.

Workshops for acting, makeup and improv will be held July 11-14 at 10:30 a.m. Participation is free to all children involved, but due to high turnout of participants, a role cannot always be guaranteed for each child. Every child is welcome to participate in the free workshops.

"KING ARTHUR'S QUEST" will be presented on Friday, July 14 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at the Watford City High School Theater.
