Watford City Area Concert Series Kicks Off With Disneyland Resort Regulars, "Phat Cat Swinger"

Members of the Watford City Area Concert Association can look forward to the season opener of the 2023-2024 concert series Sept. 28, with a high energy concert for all ages. “Phat Cat Swinger” is a west coast 11-piece “little big band,” that specializes in toe-tapping music with that classic Hollywood touch. They have been featured on the stages of The Disneyland Resort presenting re-imagined Disney songs and originals in their iconic sound. This will be a fun group for the whole family and will launch the new season with a special 5 p.m. family supper benefiting the Watford City High School theater program followed by a 6 p.m. show event for all ages.

“Phat Cat Swinger” re-imagines musical arrangements from timeless eras – ranging from Sinatra to Buble and everything in between. Phat Cat Swinger radiates style, class, and charisma.

Led by founder Marco Palos and vocalist Mark Kopitzke, the team all plays off one another and the audience to create an authentic one-of-a-kind experience - one that blows the roof off the place!  With rockstar energy, Phat Cat Swinger’s music will have you swing dancing in the aisles.

The 2023-24 concert series is a membership-based organization that brings in nationally acclaimed entertainers throughout the year. It is in its fifth season and continues to be committed to providing high quality entertainment at an affordable rate for members of the community.

While individual tickets are available to this event, a 2023-24 concert series membership is recommended to get affordable admission to the concerts throughout the year. A $50 membership grants access to five Watford City based concerts as well as reciprocity with concert series lineups in Williston, Dickinson, Crosby and Hazen. There are a variety of membership levels to choose from.
