The Tiger Sharks had a meet in Scobey this weekend. They brought 17 swimmers to Scobey to compete. Despite their small numbers the Sharks took home 2nd place. Two Sharks Braya Radke and Beckett Norby took home the high point trophy in their age groups. Many swimmers cut some great time this weekend and the team is really starting to shape up and get their feel for the water back. Next weekend they head to Roundup....
On June 21 on CR 30 and 133rd Ave. NW, SW of Watford City there was a fatal crash. A Honda Pioneer 1000 UTV, driven by Trenton Coy, Sidney, MT, was traveling southbound on 133rd Ave. NW. A 2020 Ford F550, driven by Travis Gudmunsen, Arnegard, ND, was traveling eastbound on CR 30. Coy failed to yield at the intersection of 133rd Ave. NW and CR 30 and was struck by the Ford. Coy was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. Gudmunsen was uninjured. At the time of the crash the road conditions were good and the weather was sunny....
On June 20 at approximately 10:45 p.m. CT there was an injury crash within Williston city limits. A 1994 GMC Sierra, driven by a 16-year-old male, Williston, ND, was traveling westbound on 54th St NW near 11th Ave E, pedestrian Alex Vasquez, was on the north side of the roadway. Vasquez was struck by the GMC, and then transported to CHI St. Alexius, Williston, ND. He was later flown to Sandford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. The driver of the GMC Sierra was uninjured.
