Women's Wellness Center Offers Programs During Friday's Event

The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce announces the Women's Wellness Collective (WWC) scheduled for Friday, May 10. WWC is presented by Seitz Insurance Agency, PCS Insulation, Claire Mayer Design and Sidney Health Center.

WWC is a wellness-inspired event taking place at the historical Yellowstone Mercantile Company. WWC showcases the many MonDak businesses in the wellness industry and the vast array of services available to the community. While this event is catered to women – everyone is welcome! The event spans 1-8 p.m., and is free to the public. WWC includes different elements including venders, food, semi-private classes and speakers.

Committee member Tanya Candee said, "Our small community has a diverse and integrative selection of healing modalities to choose from. It is inspiring to be a part of a network of providers that act as a team to support each client's healing journey, and I'm pleased to help bring this event to Sidney."

Vendors of the WWC include Awakened Wellness, Healthy is Wellness, Sidney Health Center, Advanced Aesthetics, 406 Design, Merge, Danielle Rae Fitness, Olive Tree People by Carissa LeFurgey, Wellth Management, Senior Connect, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Meraki, Black Hills Running Company, Arbonne, Lucky Design Flower Bar, Danity Dough Bakery, BLEND with Tessa, Side Effect Designs and Ink Images by Jamie Rang.

While the theme of the WWC is wellness, this is not your typical health fair. WWC vendors provide services, demonstrations and samples for attendees to trial their offerings. Dr. Twigg with Advanced Aesthetics will offer botox injections, nurse Tanya with Awakened Wellness will provide Red Light Therapy, IM Injections and IV infusions. Sidney Health Center's Dr. Lacey Steinbeisser is hosting a booth with information on pelvic health and local resources. 406 Design will set up a hat bar for custom fashion apparel and Ann Reidy with Harmony Wellness will visit with attendees on the geometry, light, color and sound frequencies used in the Harmonic Egg to empower the body's healing energy.

Jamie Rang (Ink Images) is a local tattoo artist specializing in permanent makeup and petite tattoos. She will offer tattooing service to attendees on-site! Wellth Management with Alli Nelson brings attendees massage therapy, exercise tutorials and custom aromatherapy massage oils. Merge in collaboration with Danielle Rae Fitness and First Form will offer their retail clothing and Nutritional supplements. BLEND with Tessa will give demonstrations with hair products and styles. Tessa will install tinsel in your locks as well! Olive Tree People by Carrissa LeFurgey is a skincare line and Carrissa will offer samples and a raffle! Marci Sondeno Lucky Design will have her festive flower bar available for attendees throughout the day. Meraki will have its retail selection and permanent jewelry offered as well. Mike Albin, Black Hills Running Company, joins us from Rapid City, SD, with a retail selection of athletic wear.

As for the food, Sunrise City Coffee Company will join the WWC with its signature roast and gourmet syrups. A lot of excitement has been generated around a new home bakery, Dainty Dough Bakery, and WWC is so pleased to have her new bakery cart offered. The Sunrise Berry Bowls and Orleans Cuisine will be curbside for all the best treats throughout the event.

Professional photographer, Emma Keller with Cedar and Pearl Photography will be on site for 15-minute mini-portrait sessions. The setting will be a modern neutral scene with metal and floral accents. These sessions are $50 and do require a pre-booking. Mini sessions are a great Mother's Day gift or the perfect opportunity to update your business headshot.

WWC offers semi-private classes in the loft of the Yellowstone Mercantile. Lorilee Norby will open the event at 1 p.m. with a 45-minute session of "Wine and Yoga". Tanya Candee will follow at 2 p.m. with a class on creating a DIY Wild Yam Oil. Candle pouring will be offered by Larysa Hurst from 3-5 p.m., and a Mother's Day Centerpiece class will be offered by Marci Sondeno Lucky Design at 5 p.m. Colleen Clarke Fine Arts will facilitate a spring Meadowlark-inspired "Sip and Paint" at 6 p.m. and Anya Chamberlain will close the event with a session of "Beer and Barre." All classes are pre-booked through the Sidney Chamber with various registration fees.

Wellness-inspired TED Talks occur throughout the event featuring: Nurse Tayna Candee with a presentation, "Intermittent Fasting Done Right = Happy Hormones" at 1 p.m. Dr. Shari Twigg will share her expertise in botox and injectable aesthetic procedures at 2 p.m. Dr. Lacey Steinbeisser will provide a TED Talk with demonstrations on securing pelvic health at 3 p.m. Cara Storm, Farm Bureau Insurance and Financial Services, with a presentation, "PlanHer." Storm's presentation is based on the fact that women, statistically outlive men, and prepare women for their later years. At 6 p.m., the Sidney Chamber will host a toast to the anniversary of MediSpa and founder Michelle Trudell will speak on the evolution of the rural clinic. Claire Mayer, of Claire Mayer Design, will conclude the TED Talks with a presentation on "Managing the Stress of a Modern-Day Woman." The Women's Wellness Collective is free and open to the public. Classes and services may have charges.
