Violet Fladmo,94, Sidney, MT

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Violet Fladmo, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014.

Violet was born on October 14, 1920, in rural Richland County to John and Ida Bernice (Lovely) Tveit. She was the second oldest of six children: Kenneth, Violet, Chester, Jane, Doris, and Larry. She attended Sioux Pass rural school and graduated from Sidney High School with the class of 1940.

Violet was united in marriage to John R. Fladmo on September 21, 1940. This union was blessed with four children: Delores, Diana, Terry and Gary.

She was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a plant clerk while residing in Sidney.

Violet resided at Westpark Village for the past seven years where she made numerous friendships. Violet enjoyed dancing, camping, gardening and crocheting special gifts for family and friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband, John, on May 4, 2007; her parents; her brothers, Kenneth & Chester; and one sister, Doris.

Survivors include her children; Delores (Ezra) Crull, Diana Strand, Terry (Sandy) Fladmo, & Gary (Dara) Fladmo; her grandchildren: Mark Stanford, Dean Stanford, Todd Stanford, Charity Winsor, Michael Strand, Trudy Strand, Sara Fladmo, Amy Fladmo, Erin Fladmo, & Erik Fladmo; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jane Warner & her brother, Larry Tveit. Violet is also survived by a special friend, Eida Hooley.

We would like to give a special thank you to the staffs of Westpark Village & Assisted Living and Riverstone Home Health & Hospice House for the excellent care, concern, and support shown to Violet.

Violet's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life! She will be greatly missed!

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery.
